Innovative biophilic solutions

Greenery overhead, behind glass and on the lunch table.

Hanging gardens over cafeterias, Harita planter pods, paludariums that hold a small rainforest in glass, and herbs grown in the office: designed, built and looked after by our own teams.

In short

Vertvista designs, builds and maintains biophilic features beyond the usual green wall and planter: hanging gardens and ring planters; Harita modular planter pods, made by Living Products in Pune; paludariums, glass cases that hold plants, moss, wood and water; hydroponic systems that grow herbs and salad greens indoors; and preserved-moss art and living partitions. Anything hung is fixed to the structure after a load check, and pods and hanging features can be approved on a full-size mock-up first.

Hanging greens

Rings, cones and troughs of trailing plants over cafeterias, atriums and terraces: green at eye level and above, without using a square foot of floor.

Hung from the structure, watered without ladders

Before anything is hung, we check the slab, beam or truss and work out the weight of each planter when wet. Planters hang on stainless cables or threaded rods fixed to the structure, never to a false ceiling.

Watering runs through a concealed drip line on a timer, or through self-watering inserts that hold a reserve between visits, chosen for the height and the access.

  • Ring planters and green chandeliers
  • Planted cones under skylights
  • Troughs along terraces and railings

Harita planter pods

Harita is a modular planter system made by Living Products in Pune: sculpted pods on floor-standing stems, hanging strings and partition grids. We plan the layout, choose and plant the greens, add grow lights where needed, install it and look after it.

Pod trees

Pods on floor-standing stems at different heights. They mark out a zone without walling it in.

Strings and clusters

Pods hung from the slab over desks, sofas and windows, with the plants at eye level.

Grids and partitions

Pods clipped to grid panels that divide an open floor and stay green from both sides.

For a global bank’s service centre in Pune, we installed Harita chandeliers and floor-standing pods across four work floors, after a full-size mock-up. A second phase is under way.

Paludariums

Part aquarium, part terrarium: ferns, mosses, bromeliads and driftwood above a pool of water, in one glass case with its own light, mist and filtration. In a reception or between two zones, it is the feature people stop at.

  • Built to your size: freestanding, set into a wall or as a divider
  • Filtration, misting and lighting on timers
  • Pumps and controls in a concealed service cabinet
  • Regular care: glass, water, plants and pumps

Hydroponics in the office

Soil-free systems that grow basil, mint, lettuce and microgreens under LED light, in cafeterias, pantries and experience centres. Roots sit in a closed loop of nutrient water: no soil, no mess, and far less water than a pot.

  • Wall units, tower gardens and pantry cabinets
  • Nutrient dosing and LED lighting on timers
  • Seeding, top-ups and harvests run by our team
  • Herbs for the cafeteria, or a harvest the whole team joins

Moss art, living partitions and green canopies

More ways to bring plants into a floor plan: partitions that grow, moss that never needs water and canopies over the desks.

Frequently asked

Is it safe to hang planters from our ceiling?

Yes, when they hang from the structure. We check the slab, beam or truss, work out the weight of each planter when wet and fix it with stainless cables or threaded rods. We never hang planters from a false ceiling.

How are hanging plants watered?

Through a concealed drip line on a timer, or self-watering inserts that hold a water reserve between gardener visits. We choose by height and access.

What is Harita, and who makes it?

Harita is a modular planter system of pods on stems, strings and grids, made by Living Products in Pune. We plan, plant, install and maintain Harita installations.

What does a paludarium need to stay healthy?

Clean, topped-up water, lighting and misting on timers, and regular visits to clean the glass, trim the plants and check the pumps. We cover this care under an AMC.

Can we grow food in the office with hydroponics?

Yes. Herbs, lettuce and microgreens grow well indoors under LED light. The systems run on a closed loop of nutrient water, and our team handles seeding, top-ups and harvests.

Can we see a sample before we order?

Yes. For pods, chandeliers and hanging features we build a full-size mock-up, so you approve the size, colours and plants before the full order.

Do you offer these in all seven cities?

Yes, through our own teams in all seven cities, and for projects elsewhere in India.
